A card can be replaced as many times as a player wishes (at a rate of once per turn), but once a new card joins the face-down group, it may not be looked at again. If the player opts to replace a card, they turn the card face-up onto the discard pile, and place the new card face-down in its place. If they choose, they may discard this card, or use it to replace any one of their 4 face-down cards (keeping in mind that 2 of those cards remain unknown).

The player to the left of the dealer then starts by drawing a card either from the stockpile or the discard pile.

They may only look at two, and only once for the whole game, so it is important to memorize them. A single card is turned face-up in the middle of the table to start a discard pile, and the remainder of the deck is placed next to it as a stockpile.Īt the start of play, each player looks at exactly two (2) of their cards. Players look at their cards and choose two to place face down in front of them.

Place the remaining cards in a draw pile in the center of the table.

Shuffle the deck of cards and deal six cards to each player.
